What is a liqueur and how is it made?
A liqueur is an alcoholic drink made by distillation or maceration of natural ingredients such as fruits, herbs, spices, flowers or creams, usually with added sugar. They are characterised by a sweet or aromatic flavour and are enjoyed as digestifs, in cocktails or as aperitifs.
